Dr Michael Obidoa, is a UK-trained Consultant Psychiatrist based in the Cotswolds. A medically qualified doctor and member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, he brings over 20 years of NHS experience and a reputation for compassionate, evidence-based care.

He provides general psychiatric support for adults of all ages, alongside specialist expertise in perinatal mental health; supporting women and families before, during, and after pregnancy.

How It Works

Start with a simple self-referral. Use the online form below to tell us a bit about yourself and the support you’re seeking.

2. Book Your Appointment
We’ll let you know if we’re the right fit. If we can help, we’ll schedule your initial assessment and confirm the process and payment details. If not, we may recommend trusted alternatives.

3. Plan Your Treatment
Your first appointment; virtual or face-to-face, is a safe space to explore your symptoms, concerns, and history. Dr Obidoa will explain your likely diagnosis and agree a treatment plan with you, followed by a written report for you and your GP.

4. Monitor Your Progress
Treatment may include medication (usually prescribed via your GP), therapy referrals, or inpatient care. If you remain under Dr Obidoa’s outpatient care, follow-up appointments will be arranged to support your recovery.

Our Fees
Dr Obidoa is recognised by most major insurance providers and also accepts self-pay patients. Payment is required in advance of each appointment.

General Mental Health Assessment

Includes full report to patient, referrer, or GP

• Video or In-person (1 clinical hour): £475–£525
  (45 mins consultation + 15 mins administration)

Follow-Up Appointments

• Up to 30 mins: £250–£275
• Up to 1 hour: £450
• Each additional 15 mins (or part thereof): £150

Perinatal Mental Health Assessment

Includes full report and liaison with midwife/obstetrician

• Video or In-person (up to 90 mins): £775
  (70 mins consultation + 20 mins clinical liaison)

Adult ADHD Services

Initial Diagnostic Assessment

• Self-pay (Video or In-person, up to 2 hrs): £1575
• Insurance: Limited availability; fees vary by provider
  Includes:
• 1.5–2 hrs diagnostic consultation
• Review/scoring of 2–4 rating scales (parent/partner)
• Full diagnostic report and recommendations

Treatment Planning & Ongoing Care

• Initial treatment planning: £275
• Ongoing 3-month medication treatment: £195–£255 per appointment
• Follow-up/annual reviews (every 6–12 months): £250–£275

Prescriptions

• Issued within appointment: Free
• Issued outside appointment: £55

Telephone Consultations

• Up to 15 mins: £195
• Each additional 5 mins: £65

Medical Reports

• Individually priced based on instruction
• Standard report (up to 1.5 hrs): £750
